Inside Out's Disgust

"The grape touched the ground. It's poisoned."
"You know what else barely touches the ground? Stray dogs, toenail clippings, road kill, hippies, dung beetles..."
-Disgust

We took the kids to the movies to watch the movie Inside Out by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures and I have to confess, I enjoyed it even more than my babies. I even cried!
And most of all I loved the character of Disgust.

Disgust is one of the five emotions controlling Riley's mind and helping her.  Joy and another emotion, Sadness, literally get lost in Riley's mid, she and the other emotions have to keep Riley's head on straight until Joy and Sadness get home. But as you can imagine, with Disgust, Fear and Anger on they're own to control Riley's mind, well everything gets upside down.

Connect the Dots...

"Connect the dots la la la la, connect the dots la la la..."

A couple of days ago I found Pee-wee's Playhouse TV show on Netflix and I was so excited to show it to my babies (actually they're toddlers) cause I used to love that show when I was a kid.... was then when I discovered I was one weird kid! OMG that show is so creepy!

But anyways I always remember the show had a segment where he sang with his creepy high pitch voice "Connect the dots la la la la, connect the dots la la la..." and he would complete a drawing connecting dots.

I don't have to tell you that I couldn't get the song out of my head while making this mani.

Behind the Scenes-Tutorial for Walgreens

I wanted to share with you guys my experience recording for Walgreens a tutorial on alternative options to gel nails on a more economic way that you can do at home.

I was contacted by GFR Media to make this tutorial that would be featured in El Nuevo Dia's online newspaper, which is the biggest newspaper on Puerto Rico.

It was my first tutorial where I talk in front of a camera and although it was nerve wracking and it wasn't perfect at all, I had lots of fun and I loved the experience and I hope to do it again and maybe start doing my own youtube tutorials that way.

This was one of the look I did for the tutorial using products by Sally Hansen.

If you want to see the article and the tutorial here's the link:

Pineapple Half Moon Nails

Through Instagram I've been so blessed to have met a special group of amazing ladies who I can now call my friends. We've been friends for a year and a half now and we talk to each other every single day! They have become a special part of my life and I love them dearly!

Every month we make a collab of different themes. This past month of July we decided on Tropical Fruits and I choose to make Pineapple Half Moon Nails.

Base color is Risky Behavior by Orly.  A gorgeous pink magenta!
