Papaya Nail Art

Hello Peeps!

Who likes Papayas?

Well, certainly not me lol.  I have to admit I really do not like their taste, but they are so pretty and I like the feminist symbolism in them, also,  they are a tropical fruit and it is summer so why not?

I was inspired to this design by a new place that opened recently in my hometown Guayama.  It's called Purpura and it's an acaì, smoothie and juice bar.  They painted all the walls with tropical murals and the bathrooms are identified as: women a big papaya and men a big eggplant.  It's so funny and cute I just couldn't wait to paint a papaya on my nails.

You can see a hint of the doors in the photo.

I also did one of the owners nails and she requested a peach on one hand and on the other hand the phrase "eat it" inspired on another one of the wall murals at the juice bar.

Fruity Nails!!!

I hope you guys like both of these designs and if you would like to recreate this perfect fruity look for summer you can watch my Papaya Nail Art Tutorial right here

Fish and waves nail art

Hey Y'all!!!

I know, I know it's been quite sometime now.... but! I'm still here and doing more nail art than ever!  For a couple of months I've been working on a salon that has allowed me to meet so many amazing girls and fellow nail art lovers!

Also I've been making manicures with gel, which was something new to work with since I've always made my designs with nail polish.  Working with gel has been amazing! I'm not gonna lie, is not that easy but as with everything you do in life, practice makes perfection.

I have to say it's been a roller coaster journey and I love it! I love my clients and I absolutely enjoy making art every minute of my day.

Now that I'm finally settling down with my daily routine that includes; going to work, training at the gym, being a mom and a wife, and of course part time crafter,  I'm back making tutorials.  I hope you enjoy this one of this cute little fish inspired by a design I saw on Pinterest and gave it my own touch.

You can watch the tutorial right here on this link, and if you aren't following me on YouTube, go ahead and press that Subscribe button as I promise it will be more active.

Thanks for sticking by kids, you rock!

Rudolph Nails

"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows"

For this christmas mani I used Really Red, Blanc and Licorice all by Essie.

For Rudolph's red shiny nose I placed a tiny red glitter.

I toped it all with Essie's Gel Setter Top Coat.

If you wish to recreate this look during this season be sure to check out my tutorial right here!

Back to School already???

Definitely time flies! I want summer back!
Although my kids are now both on school and I have some fabulous free time on my hands and it's like the first time ever I have so many hours to myself! And you know what that means, right??
Yep, you got it! More time to paint my nails!

I have to admit I almost burst into tears when I left my lil girl!  Only 3 years old and already in Pre-k.😢
But!!! She is so happy to be on school, she didn't cry or anything like that, in fact I had to stay a few minutes longer and she came to me and asked "Mom when are you leaving?"
lol
So that made this whole new experience much better.

For this mani I used Licorice by Essie as my base color and made the doodles with Blanc.  To finish it all and make it look like a chalkboard I applied a matte top coat (Matte About You) also by Essie

"You are my sunshine my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray.
you'll never know dear how much I love you.  Please don't take my sunshine away"

Isn't this a wonderful song?  I sing it to my kids a regularly, even though the original version is really sad, but let's not talk about that!

For this bright and happy mani I used Pimms by Butter London

All the details and lettering were freehand using Onix by Bettina Cosmetics

Elephant Nail Art

Hello Guys!

Recently we rescued and adopted the cutest little kitten ever! I've never had a cat before and it has been an amazing experience.  We named him Elefante 🐘 which means Elephant in Spanish. He is so loving, sweet and loves to cuddle and obviously I had to make some nails dedicated to my new baby.

As my base color I used Lux by Marc Jacobs and made some polka dots with a pale yellow on top of it.

I used First Timer by Essie and Super Star by Pure Ice for the little elephant and the cloudy stripes.

Here's me and my baby Elefante 🐘
